I'm eighteen years old and I've never had a boyfriend. I know, I know; people say I need to give it time, but I don't see it ever happening. Not only have I never had my first kiss, but no one's ever hit on me, asked me out, even suggested any interest. I'm not even that unfortunate looking. I think my personality scares them off. I'm not crazy or anything, but I'm a rather intelligent, well-rounded, boisterous, sarcastic, harmless, nice individual. Why do men only care about beauty and not brains?

I love a smart girl. In fact. I prefer them. Just when girls are too sarcastic it can really come off wrong as being pretentious or just mixed signs. Also, you never know, maybe you have not picked up on the signs guys are giving you. I never realized some girls liked me until I went off to college.

Well hey theres nothing wrong with that. Just when your around guys try to act just a little flirty, but dont make yourself look stupid. You will find that guy. I have a friend who's going through the same thing, and i always tell her stop looking and they will find you, and sure enough he did!

I found as I made my way through college, I met men who had a stronger need for an intellectual equal. In high school and early college, you won't see that need develop for many if the guys you know. I know it sucks but give it time. Better still….be a beauty and a brain. Intelligent men can't resist a dual threat

Hmmm that's an interesting one. But consider yourself lucky, its not good to move to fast in life. I know you don't want to hear this but it will come in time.And don't throw your virginity away in order to keep up with your friends.Save it for someone special or your husband and don't envy other people.

What you are saying is only partially true and it actually applies to women as well: would you date an ugly man?…I don't think so. Physical attraction is a very important factor in a relationship because without it it could never work; as for intelligence, it's not true that men don't like smart women, but a dumb woman is easier to control and allows a man not to commit; so remember, men pick dumb women only for fun but when they decide it's time to get serious, they go for smart and beautiful women;)
